TomTom Rider Review
Fit to ride up front, the TomTom Rider measures 4.5 by 3.6 by 2.2 inches, weighs 10.9 ounces, and is water resistant, which is important since the device isn’t protected from the elements of nature on a bike.

Cnet Reviewed the TomTom Rider and gave out”The good: The TomTom Rider provides text- and voice-guided directions to motorcyclists and comes with an easy-to-install mounting kit. All maps are preloaded on an included SD card, and the unit has integrated Bluetooth for hands-free calling.
The bad: The TomTom Rider’s POI database is outdated and occasionally gave us wrong street names or no street at all for some side streets…”

TomTom GO 720 Review
The TomTom GO 720 boasts a host of premium GPS features at a pretty good price. It’s especially nice if you’ve got a phone with a data plan on AT&T/Cingular or T-Mobile that supports the GO 720’s extra abilities.

PCmag Reviewed the TomTom GO 720 and gave out”The GO 720 is supplied with a simple yet effective ball-and-socket-type suction-cup windshield mount, as well as adhesive dashboard mount for states that don’t permit windshield attachments.”

TomTom GO 720 Review
The TomTom GO 720 looks good, and its widescreen is beautiful. There are some fun features that I look forward to exploring like the voice recording capability that will allow me to put familiar voices and new messages into the GO 720 that will play as part of the navigation. The battery life is longer than the TomTom ONE XL, coming in at about 5 hours. The GO 720 will support TMC capability and the antenna will cost a little over $100, which will come with a 1 year subscription.

gpslodge Reviewed the TomTom GO 720 and gave out”The TomTom GO 720 also allows the user to quickly identify their location for emergency assistance providers. Magellan is exploring a similar vector with select Magellan Maestro series that has similar capability that is tied into their integration with AAA driving club.”

TomTom GO 720 Review
The good: The TomTom GO 720 includes new features that give you access to up-to-date maps and safety information in case of emergencies. The sleek 720 also offers text-to-speech functionality, integrated Bluetooth, and multimedia capabilities.
The bad: The GO 720 is only compatible with a small number of Bluetooth-enabled phones, and there are no external volume controls.

cnet Reviewed the TomTom GO 720 and gave out”The TomTom GO 720 is a beautifully designed portable navigation system. Though more full-featured than the TomTom One, the GO 720 keeps a similar slim profile as the One and loses the extra bulk of older models, such as the TomTom GO 910. It’s compact at 4.6 inches wide by 3.2 inches tall by 0.9 inch deep and 7.7 ounces, so you certainly won’t have any problems transporting this unit between cars.”

Although TomTom is the clear leader in the UK satnav market, the firm isn’t resting on its laurels. The new Go 720 isn’t just bursting with features, but boasts some genuinely brilliant innovations which are sure to become the norm in the future.

You can choose which updates to download, so you can opt only for TomTom-verified changes or - if you’re more trusting - all updates submitted by other Go 520 or 720 users…”
