Navigon 2100 GPS Review
navigation is good with the Navigon 2100, the nuts and bolts of the functionality, but with some of the limitations with the interface, the data entry to get to the navigating part can be tough. There’s a lot of capability in the navigation department for an entry-level device.

Navigon 7100 GPS Review
The Navigon 7100 very much resembles the Navigon 5100 with its attractive, curved body and sleek black finish. However, it’s bigger at 3.5 inches tall by 5.1 inches wide by 0.9 inch deep and 7 ounces, and, thus, allows for a more spacious 4.3-inch touch screen.

CNET Reviewed the Navigon 7100 and gave out”*The good: The Navigon 7100 GPS device offers a number of advanced navigation features, including text-to-speech functionality, an integrated traffic receiver with subscription-free traffic service, and a lane assistant function for optimal routing.*—The bad: The 7100 is a bit sluggish and the interface isn’t as user-friendly as the competition. You can’t sync your cell phone’s contact list with the device.*—The bottom line: Though the Navigon 7100 offers some handy navigation tools and integrated Bluetooth, the confusing interface and sluggish performance prevents us from giving it higher marks.”

Navigon 5100 GPS Review
The good: The sleek Navigon 5100 has an integrated traffic receiver with subscription-free traffic service. There’s also a lane assistant function for optimal routing and text-to-speech functionality.
The bad: The 5100’s screen is on the smaller side, and it’s slow to get a satellite fix. The design of the vehicle mount may not fit everyone’s personal taste.

Cnet Reviewed the Navigon 5100 and gave out”The Navigon 5100 is equipped with a SiRFstarIII GPS chip and all maps of the United States and Canada are preloaded on the included SD card. As with most GPS devices, you can enter a location by specific address, point of interest, recent destination, user-defined home, and so forth.”

The 5100 also has a chrome casing, as opposed to the shiny piano black of the 7100. Like the 7100 however, the 5100 packs in a lot of useful features into its sleek frame.

Navigon N100 Pocket LOOX Review
Lighter than a Motorola Razr phone, and only slighter larger in size, the Navigon N100 looks like an interesting product for pedestrian usage, or for those who want to bring a portable GPS on business trips. The N100 includes a built-in stylus pen (although you can also just use your finger), and the display can be switched between landscape and portrait views. NAVTEQ maps and SiRF’s high performance GPS receiver in an ultra-small form factor could end up being an awesome GPS unit indeed — the screenshots I saw in the booth look promising.

gpsmagazine Reviewed the Navigon N100 Pocket LOOX and gave out”Navigon has partnered with Porsche Design to create its higher-end PND, the 9611. Available by summer ‘07, the 9611 will retail for $899, and will include all the same features found on the less expensive N100 but will add Bluetooth, a larger screen, subscription-free traffic data from Clear Channel (free lifetime real-time traffic updates), pre-loaded Zagat guide data for North America for hotel, restaurant, nightlife, attractions, and gold courses. The 9611 runs Navigon’s Mobile Navigator Premium software.”
