HP iPaq Navigation system Review
We tested the iPaq Navigation System with the iPaq H4150, and it kept us on track as we trekked around the San Francisco area. We locked on to the required three signals in about 40 seconds, and they held steadfast even as we drove in between tall buildings. Voice and visual directions were accurate, and if you miss a turn, the system will automatically reroute your course. The receiver’s 900mAh (milliamp hours) lithium-ion battery is rated for 8 hours; unfortunately, it came up an hour short in our tests.
CNET Reviewed the HP iPaq Navigation system and gave out”The good: Solid receiver; included car kit with vent mount and car charger.—The bad: Bulky; expensive; software not as comprehensive or advanced as other systems.—The bottom line: Though a bit pricey, the iPaq Navigation System’s strong reception and easy-to-read maps get you on the road to a smooth trip.”

In general, this GPS receiver’s features are as expected for this price. This unit is able to store up to 1000 waypoints. This is significantly more than the average GPS device. Device is covered by a 1 year warranty.
CNET Reviewed the Lowrance GlobalMap 4900M and gave out”Pros: Has a 7 in screen size, which is more favorable than some similarly priced GPS receivers. In fact, the typical cost of a product with this favorable a screen size is $1,080. Also, this GPS receiver is capable of storing 100 routes, which is considerably more than some similarly priced GPS receivers. WAAS-ready GPS device accepts radio signals which can help increase accuracy of positioning data to within 3 meters. Uses a standard SD memory card to store routes and maps. Its removable memory allows for almost unlimited storage of routes and other data. Safe in all weather, this unit is waterproof.

The Navigon 7100 very much resembles the Navigon 5100 with its attractive, curved body and sleek black finish. However, it’s bigger at 3.5 inches tall by 5.1 inches wide by 0.9 inch deep and 7 ounces, and, thus, allows for a more spacious 4.3-inch touch screen.
CNET Reviewed the Navigon 7100 and gave out”*The good: The Navigon 7100 GPS device offers a number of advanced navigation features, including text-to-speech functionality, an integrated traffic receiver with subscription-free traffic service, and a lane assistant function for optimal routing.*—The bad: The 7100 is a bit sluggish and the interface isn’t as user-friendly as the competition. You can’t sync your cell phone’s contact list with the device.*—The bottom line: Though the Navigon 7100 offers some handy navigation tools and integrated Bluetooth, the confusing interface and sluggish performance prevents us from giving it higher marks.”
